Description
Consolidated Catalina PBY 3D Blender model as FBX export and the original Blender scripts with 2 UV channels, UV mapped and non overlapping. Second UV channel spacing little wider for lightmaps in game engines. Built with import into Unreal 4 game engine in mind. Scene settings in Blender was set up for Unreal 4 import. Note this model consist of 316 separate objects not joined but parented to one single simple bone armature and one root bone. Note it will take up to 30 minutes to import into Unreal 4. I tested it. Imports just fine into Unreal 4 no issues. There are triangulated and non triangulated versions included including a 'clean' version (with no weathering). No interior parts are modeled only the exteriors. Wheels retract. Rear gun stations' doors open and shut. Wingtip floats retract. Propellers spin. (Note make sure you spin then in 'local transform mode' in Blender otherwise they might wobble. They are angled slightly). Same with wheels. Wing flaps work. Lights on the wings. Materials, shaders and textures all included and built inside the Blender scripts. Images are all packed inside blender scripts so they are ready to just render out. My best choice for render settings are set up inside Blender scripts. It took me 3 months to build this highly detailed model. I researched WW2 pictures and videos and tried to keep it very accurate to the war time version. For example the hull had no side door during the war. They added that later after the war when the plane was sold to private companies. They used plate board and rivets to seal up bullet holes on the hull. That I included in this model. I built this model for my Unreal 4 game project Escape from Mill Station currently in development.
