This module is a PET plastic washing unit, typically used in recycling plants to clean shredded plastic flakes before drying and extrusion.

The system combines mechanical action, water, and detergent to clean the PET through friction and continuous flow.

  1. Rotating Drum (top gray section): Consists of three cylindrical segments that rotate internally. Its function is to scrub and agitate the PET flakes in water, generating friction that removes dirt and labels. The blue perforated housing around it allows dirty water to drain while retaining the solids inside.
  2. Base Frame (light blue): Built from structural steel to support the entire assembly. Provides stability and a mounting base for motors, shafts, and pipes.
  3. Side Motors and Gearboxes (gray and yellow): Several motor-gearbox assemblies drive the washing drums and screw conveyors. Each motor is coupled through a transmission system that ensures controlled rotation.
  4. Bottom Hopper or Collection Tank (funnel-shaped section): Collects dirty water and residues removed during washing. The conical bottom allows for gravity drainage through a lower pipe.
  5. Pipes and Valves: The light blue lateral pipe carries used or drained water. Valves may be included to control flow or connect to a water recirculation system.
  6. Inclined Screw Conveyor (right side): Used to discharge the washed PET flakes to the next stage (typically rinsing or drying). It can also drain excess water as the material is conveyed upward.
