A typical Zishagge open helm made in East Germany. This helms were common all over the Eastern Europe in late XVI-XVII centuries, from Germany to Russia, but were used all over the Europe, even in England during the Civil War. The German word “Zishagge” comes from Russian “Shishak”. The main feature of this type of helm is so called “lobstertail” – detail protecting the neck. In other countries this type of armor was named “lobstertail burgonet” or “casque”. In Poland this type of helms was used by “winged gusars” – heavy cuirassiers.

This model is created from photos of a real Zishagge burgonet, you can see one of them on some of the thumbnails. Original photos and the model of head you also can see on thumbnails are NOT included. The model is VERY high-detailed, you can see every rivet, every screw on it.

WARNING! Note that some of the thumbnails (#2 and 4) were maid from EARLY versions of the model, so you cant see some parts, added later, on them.
