Model has been thoroughly researched and built over a span of 4 years (part time). Extensive online reference materials (photographs, drawings, videos, blueprints and maps) have been meticulously cross-referred for clarification and every pixel has been squeezed out of them to make this model as detailed and authentic as possible.
Model includes extensive detail around the RP1, LH2 and LOX facilities and all features around the perimeter road fence and elevated camera pads. Additionally 3 miles of the outer landscape and Atlantic ocean in all directions (in diminishing detail) has been built to enable rendering of distant views (please refer to the 360 degree preview files and HD video downloads included).
This model is advertised and sold as LC39A (Apollo) pad area and surrounding field details only. It can be matched to other models of the Saturn Apollo vehicle, Mobile Launcher and Umbilical Tower.
Suitable for HD video, high-res film close-ups and print. Accurate representation of LC39A using original imperial scale of feet and inches.

HDRI skydome used in preview images NOT included in file. No Photoshop or compositing used for previews. Default Light & camera is included in file along with secondary camera used for Signature image. Preview Images rendered with default Lightwave 9.6 scanline renderer. Included with this download is a LW Scene file that lists the render settings needed to produce images that match the thumbnails (HDRI skydome not included).

Textures set to varying real world scales aligned to level of detail required:
36 pixels per foot (key building close ups) 12 pixels per foot (main pad surface) 6 pixels per foot (pad outer surface) 3 pixels per foot (inner perimeter road landscape) 1.5 pixels per foot (outer perimeter road landscape) 0.1875 pixels per foot (distant landscape)
Landscape textures have Lightwave procedural noise added as a bump map overlay to avoid unsightly blurred pixelation when rendering images close to ground level (see preview files for examples). Landscape image resolution changes are deliberately located near large areas of water to minimise the obvious nature of joints between the texture maps.
Model built to real-world scale. Units used: Feet and Inches. Complete model (including low resolation outer landscape) is 36000 feet (6.82 miles) on X and Z axis. Scene objects are organized by layers and groups.
Pivot points and morph targets are preset in Layout file for all animatable features/layers shown in animation preview video files.
Saturn Apollo & Mobile Launcher models NOT included.
Model represents over 1000 hours of 3D work.
Model is memory intensive due to the large number of texture maps and requires a minimum of 1GB graphics and 8GB of RAM.
