This scene was built in Maya 2016 and rendered using Mental Ray Final Gather. An image was attached to the mental ray image based lighting sphere. Image is included but is not an HDRI.
The torch has a very simple and somewhat limited rig allowing a segment of the hose to be repositioned. There is animation on the flame to allow it to flicker.
A Control Curve allows for scaling and movement of the model. Use the Curve and not the group node to make such changes. The Control curve also has a custom attribute for Smooth. You can change this attribute for more subdivisions.
Poly and Vert counts are totals for all geometry in the scene with smooth set to 0. The model was rendered at a setting of 1 and can be further smoothed at level 2.
PSD for the gage textures and flame textures are included. most UVs have NOT been unfolded.
