The model was made with great care of proportions compared to the original photo references of the real USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76.

USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) is a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier in the service of the United States Navy. The ninth ship of her class,[1] she is named in honor of former President Ronald Reagan, President of the United States from 1981 to 1989. Upon her christening in 2001, she was the first ship to be named for a living former president.

--Geometry--

High level of detail with the best compromise of the number of polygons (through an optimization work).
In the 3ds max version the model is organized on layers.
The model consists primarily of quads.
The hull and some objects,are smootheable and easily editable (turbosmooth)
On the 3ds max and c4d file ,the pegs are animated.
Maya version is not include animation.

--Rendering--

Render is done with integrated 3ds max mental ray engine..I also included a non-illuminated 3DsMax version with standard materials,(if you do not use mental ray).
Lighting and environment are included only in 3ds max version.
No 3rd party plugin needed.

--Textures--

Coordinates mapping method used:
Some parts of the hull , deck of the ship runway takeoff and turret have uw map unwrap with some overlapping.
Other object have UVW Mapping projections.

On maya file, some objects may have looks like tiled textures.
