The asset structure provides complete control over the appearance and shape of the landscape.
The model is fully completed for Hi-Res rendering.
Advantages of the procedural asset: - The landscape can be changed to suit your needs. - Changing the size, shape and position of any existing objects (craters, canyons and other objects). - Adding your own landscape object of any shape and size. - Unlimited terrain size. - A wide range of rendering optimization. VRay provides maximum productivity and independence from the amount of RAM in your render station. - Complete freedom of creativity.
All objects, materials, maps and textures have unique and meaningful names.
The asset contains 4 separate objects: MOON_SURFACE HiRes_Area NoRocks_Volume Sun
And 4 textures (Surface sample disp, Rocks tile disp, Craters tile for small details disp and albedo). All textures are created from original drawing.
This product includes 3ds Max versions with V-Ray materials only. Unfortunately, to date, VRay is still the only render engine that has such powerful displacement optimization tools. I did not manage to recreate this model on other modern demanded renders. This situation has not changed since 2008.
Preview Images are rendered using VRay NEXT. But shading is compatible with VRay 1.4 and above.
Model is not represent the actual dimensions, as its size is relative. What the size of the Crater? You decide!
Asset does not need scripts, wires or third-party plug-ins. Asset uses only native 3ds Max and VRay tools.
The image of the Earth and the astronaut is used to present the model and is not included in the product.
Product is ready to render out-of-the-box.
Model represents 132 days of work and R&D. Originally created in 2008.
