Description
*Important:* only the house itself, the land (with flat mesh as a pond), and the sky is included for this model. The previews are intended to show the house as it would look in a natural/typical setting, and, in most cases you'll want the house in a different setting (speaking of the trees, fence, & pond). The texture map for the land is large - 5000x5009 pixels, and the map for the sky is 6236x992; both land and sky are mapped and ready for these textures. A preview showing the wireframe of these objects is below. A model of only the house is available as a seperate download (search for house01.zip). All of the trees pictured here are also available as seperate downloads, as are the cattails in the pond. Filenames are:
med_maple_grove.zip (the 6 small maples);
tree_planes01.zip (the tree perimeter);
pine_bush01.zip (the pine to the right of the front door);
pnetree03.zip (the large pine between the house & pond);
xmas_tree01.zip (the christmas tree @ the end of the fence);
3_small_pines.zip (some copies out in the yard off the deck);
jack_pine_small.zip (the pine to the left of the front door);
pinetree02.zip (4 scaled copies behind the house);
cat_tails.zip (scattered into two groups in the pond)

The roof as shown here is uv mapped for three asphalt shake texture maps (black, tan, and grey - the 348x472 maps are shown in the thumbs). No other objects require texture maps; for example, the siding is modeled with laps to allow for realistic shadowing. All objects, with the exception of the roof planes are architectually accurate. The roof can be rendered with either the two flat uv mapped planes (as shown in all but the first thumb, or the actual 3D shakes can be used for extreme closeups. A first test rendering of actual shakes is shown in the first thumbnail, two shaded previews of what the shakes actually look like are available below.
