Sand dune with perfectly even UVs and included shader for Mental Ray for Maya and V-Ray for Maya. Works great with V-Ray and Mental Ray sun and sky. The shaders use procedural textures for max detail and memory efficiency they are not texture based.
400,000 polycount may seem a bit high but the sharp edges on the frequent small peaks mean that there is a lot of subtle detail in the mesh that can't be reduced. Sand shader is a complex network that took a week to get right. This shader alone will save you an immense amount of time if you need convincing sand, no matter what it's being applied to.
