Description
Hi I am David Norman.
This is a detailed high poly model of a Reading Wagon, sometimes called “Gipsy Caravan”.
The Reading Wagons were originally built by Dunton and Sons in the late 19th and early 20th century in Reading England. This design is one of the later models dating about 1916.
I have respected the construction and furniture layout (they were sold as “fitted wagons”), I have taken some liberties.
The decoration is my own artistic impression and does not follow the designs used by wagon builders or travelers.

The model was modeled and textured with Blender.

Vertex count is 778776, the interior takes up over half of the vertex count. It is designed to render without subdivision unless you want real close ups, in which case geometry will hold.
The wire frame renders show the actual geometry in the file and used for the example renders.

Materials and textures were set up for Blender Cycles render engine.
The full color example renders were rendered using Blender Cycles.
The different camera and light setups used for the first six color renders have been saved into different scenes in the .blend file. I will add new example renders with setups that are not saved. The equirectangular camera is the first setup that is not saved.
I did change the emission intensity of the inside lamp flame for some renders.

The model is not rigged but could be, all the objects are named. The model contains 173 different objects such as the shaft, brackets, wheels, stove, tea pot, oil lamps, roof etc. etc. Many objects themselves are made of unconnected parts, to economize verts. If you separate all lose parts you would have over 2000 objects! All the doors, cupboards and draws can be opened (are modeled “inside and out”). The wheels have axles and the structure suspension.

There are 74 image textures, 72 in JPG format and 2 that are in PNG because they have Alpha information. The images are UV mapped to the objects.
All of the images are original (although based on traditional patterns) and have been created for this model with Gimp by David Norman. Total size of the texture folder is 6.7mb.

I have exported the objects and image textures to OBJ format.
There are no cameras or lights in the obj file.
The OBJ format preserves the UV layout and links to image files, but texture parameters such as reflectivity, transparency, bump elevation, etc. will render differently depending on the software and lighting you use.

Note I have recently corrected the spring hangers, (see the last image)
