Polaris is an original design concept car in the style of endurance racing cars of a former era. Focus is on exterior aesthetics. Interior components include a cabin with seats, steering wheel and dashboard which support external viewpoints. Mechanical engineering aspects are beyond the scope of this project at this stage, and are not required for external viewpoints. However, a basic mock-up of wheel hubs and drive shafts is included for reference purposes only. The vehicle has a four-wheel steering system. The rotation axis of each wheel is precisely in the centre of the wheel. A hub's ball joints are aligned on this vertical axis. The amount of rear opposite rotation relative to the front has not been determined, but could be around 7%.
The car has a dual drive system utilising both fuel and electricity. The front wheels are electric driven, whilst the rear are driven by an internal combustion engine (currently unspecified). With adjustable height / ground clearance and special wheels & tyres the vehicle is capable of increased velocities over rough roads and surfaces.
The car is presented in showroom condition.
