An accurately scaled and modeled low polygon Piper Chieftain aircraft. With a polygon count of just 2500 (4680 tris) this model has been professionally developed for simulation and game use. It is properly uv mapped and fully textured. The primary texture is a 2048 x 2048 bitmap. All control surfaces, including flaps, ailerons, elevators, props, rudders, and landing gear are independent objects for easy animation. There are two included prop versions, one static prop and one spinning opacity mapped prop.

This model is available here in .3ds, .fbx, .flt, .lwo (v 6.0), .max (v 2008), and .obj formats.
The PA-31-350 Chieftain is a stretched, up-engined, variant of Piper’s Navajo family of twin engine aircraft. The stretched Navajo Chieftain was intended to serve as a corporate transport and commuter airliner, capable of transporting up to 10 passengers. It first appeared in 1973, originally dubbed the Navajo II, and a total of 1827 were produced until 1984.
