This is a realistic and highly detailed model of a parrot or, more precisely, a macaw. Includes texture-kits for four different species!
This great parrot-mesh is modelled and optimized for sit and flight animations.
It has abaut 10.000 polygons,
The eye is fully modelled out from the inside and equipped with a cornea to ensure a life-like gaze.
The big Wing Feathers are modelled seperate for better animation flexibility.
The Textures are made of real macaw shots. They feature authentic, different kinds of feahters like flight feathers, contour feathers and down feathers, mapped to their right bodyparts.
To increase realism, the eagle has additional single feathers, attached on accentuated locations like head, neck and legs.
The downloadable file includes texture kits for four different macaw species:
- the Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao)
- the Blue-and-yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna)
- the Military Macaw (Ara ambiguus)
- the Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus)
The parrot is fully rigged and equipped with 72 bones, to garant usability for any realistic animations.
The rigging supports:
-sitting arround, walking, climbing, playing...
-all kind of wing flaps,
-turning the angle of wings and tail
-spreading and narrowing the tail
-extreme-positions like nosedive or beating prey,
-turning the head in every realistic position,
-open/close the beak,
-feathers bent by air-stream,
-full controll of the legs, open/close the claws
Restriction: No motion-mixes included! All wing feathers have to be animated by hand, if you want to, let's say, morph from sitting to flying
There are two Animation-cycles delivered with this file:
- A flight cycle with one flap, 40 frames long
- A 'sitting on a branch' cycle with 500 frames, showing some 'look arrounds', screams and bows. Branch included.
