--General-- Advanced optical microscope designed for use in a clinical laboratory or in biomedical research applications.
This highly detailed model is perfect for close ups and realistic renders. It was modelled in 3dsmax 2008 and rendered using MentalRay with standard materials.
Max package contains cameras, 5 lights, textures and materials, ready to render. The .max file is the original, others are conversions and don't retain the materials.
--Geometry-- Native format: 3ds max 2008. No 3rd party plugin needed. Smoothing iterations can be adjusted and all object history is intact. Components are grouped but not combined.
--Rendering-- Previews are rendered with integrated 3ds max mental ray engine. Only In 3ds max version, lighting and environment are included (Mental Ray or Scanline file). I also included a 3DsMax version with standard materials that renders with Scanline or any other render engine (if you do not use mental ray).
--Textures-- The textures are hand made. Some maps are applied with UVW Unwrap, but most with UVW Mapping. Textures range is: 1600x1600, 1800x600 to 400x400.
--Rigging & Animation-- In the 3ds max version, the model is rigged. The fixture of the lower lenses can be turned to set the active lens.
--Scale-- This scene is modeled in real world scale.
