History

The Nieuport 28 was a late war French Fighter aircraft that was rejected for French service and picked up for American use. This aircraft would continue to be used for a short period of time by US forces in early 1918 until discarded in favor of the Spad XIII. The Aircraft was maneuverable and easy to fly but was prone to engine failure. It also had a habit of shedding wing fabric at times. Ace pilot Eddie Rickenbacker flew the plane for a while as did a number of other American aces.
