A detailed realistic model of a 32-pounder naval cannon from the 18th century. A carronade is a short, smoothbore, cast iron cannon which was used by the Royal Navy and first produced by the Carron Company, an ironworks in Falkirk, Scotland, UK. It was used from the 1770s to the 1850s. Its main function was to serve as a powerful, short-range, anti-ship and anti-crew weapon.
The model is in real-world scale. It was created in Autodesk 3ds Max 2012 and was rendered using mental ray renderer.
There are 4 texture maps included (diffuse, specular, glossiness and a normal map); all in square 4096x4096 resolutions. All objects, texture maps and materials are properly named for easy use and are contained in a seperate layer. The model has clean topology made out of quads and tris which can be subdivided for greater detail, and is centered to world (0,0,0). Meters were used as units. Model is ready to be rigged and animated (all pivot coordinates are in their proper position for easy rigging).
