Description
High detail male character, created with Maya 2011 and rendered with mental ray ( included in maya).
Optimized for easy rigging.

PRESENTATION IMAGES

For rendered images I used a HDRI (not free and not included) and 3 lights. The realistic mental ray skin shaders are included only in maya_mentalRay scenes and you have to create a back light for best result. I rendered this images with smooth applied

GENERAL

This product includes all the following files
male.ma -maya 2011 and newer
                -mental ray shaders
                -can be edited and used in older versions of maya
male_maya_materials.ma -maya 2011 and newer
                        - only maya shaders (blin and lambert)
male.obj - can be open in any 3d software
         - you have to manualy conect the normal map textures
male.fbx - same as obj file

The character was modeled in real-world scale with ideal proportions. Height of character is 181 cm/units.

GEOMETRY

Quad modeling (97% quads,3% tris) and Zbrush sculpting(zbrush tool not included).
This model contains 19 seperate objects, optimized for easy rigging. The small objects like buttons and laces are baked in textures.
Overlapping UV only in hidden side of the collar, ears and symmetric objects( hands, shoes, eyes)

SHADERS & TEXTURES
All textures are in .tga format
All the miss fast skin shaders from 'male.ma' scene are connected in lambert shading group- mental ray- custom shaders for best preview. You see a lambert shader, but render a subsurface scattering shader.

HEAD - misss fast skin -2048x2048 - diffuse, normal map, specular, front scatter ( connected in epidermal and subdermal scatter color), back scatter( for back scatter color)
HAND - misss fast skin -1024x1024 - diffuse, normal map, specular, front scatter, back scatter
SHIRT - mia material - 2048x2048 - diffuse, normal map, specular ( reflection color)
PANTS - mia material - 2048x2048 - diffuse, normal map, specular ( reflection color)
SHOE - mia material - 1024x1024 - diffuse, normal map, specular ( reflection color)
MOUTH(interior) - misss fast skin -1024x1024 - diffuse (connected in diffuse color and back scatter color), normal map, specular, front scatter.
EYE   - lambert - 512x512 -diffuse - for reflections and specular, there is a separate geometry (cornea)
EYELID -lambert -512x512 - diffuse+alpha

male_maya_materials, male.obj, and male.fbx contains only blin and lambert shaders
