HIGHTYPES' HT Standard is the right choice for creating type animations and all kinds of modifications. It is drawn carefully with respect to an equal distribution of polygons and carries modern type design to the third dimension.

HT Standard is based on a version of Monument Grotesk which was prepared for 3D by Dinamo Typefaces especially for Hightype. It matches perfectly with the 2D version of the typeface and allows you to design consistently across dimensions.

The font provides a dynamic and flexible base for your projects. We focus on shape and polygon distribution of the models, so you can create the most versatile designs.

Each variation includes 76 characters that only consist of polygons with four edges. Zero triangles!

Available with hard and 30%-round edges.

Including alternative characters that are adapted to 3D environments. In 2D-Fonts round letters like C,G,J,3,6 go below the baseline. Thats an obstacle if you like to put them on a ground plane. Therefore our font includes alternative letters that end on the ground plane.

Whats the advantage of HIGHTYPE-fonts compared to 2D-Fonts?

Fonts for print and 2D-web are designed with different goals in mind: They have few anchor-points, which will be highly interpolated. Also the points will be spread inconsistently, which is totally fine for print, where a sharp line is most important. In 3D however, you will extrude those shapes, and the software adds one large polygon or multiple, randomly connected triangles as front and backfaces. This will lead to unwanted artefacts, especially when modifying the elements.

Our fonts are carefully drawn in 3D and therefore have an equal distribution of polygons, that can be further increased with subdivision modifiers.

In addition to that, our fonts are available with rounded edges, another advantage of directly drawing them in 3D.
