Layer 1 : Body of the horse
Layer 2: Armature or the skeleton of the horse.
Shift select both the layers if required. This is a simple rig . Auto IK has been applied to the model for animation. The base backbone, just in front of the tail controls the upward and downward movement of the body. This model has a very simple rig and there it is easy to animate. The neck and the head can be rotated and moved with the R and G keys when necessary. The controls can be moved for posing and animating using both the G and R keys on the keyboard. The tail can be rotated by rotating the root bone of the tail. The second and third thumbnail illustrates the controls. A Circle at the base provides for the overall translation and rotation of the model The model:
The model is low poly and has been textured within blender observing a reference image. Hair has not been provided. It is easy to add particle hair later.
The texture is a single 2048x2048 png file painted within blender. The texture file is packed within the .blend file along with the model.
