The EMD SD22ECO is an repowered EMD SD40-2, a railroad classic that all major railways in US and Canada operated. The repower brings the locomotive to current efficiency and emission standards, thus creating an environmentally friendly locomotive. The locomotive has the engine modeled, an EMD 710-8 two stroke diesel engine and its cooling system. This model is a highly accurate depiction of KCS SD22ECO locomotive number 2651.

This may well be the most detailed SD22ECO available on the net. The model is accurate to nuts and bolts and has been built with great precision, a lot of time has been spent ensuring this skin is prototypical and that this engine has KCS's exclusive features like long hood positioned horns, no anti-climbers, correctly positioned and modeled headlights, air conditioning.

The model is fully UVW unwrapped and the zip file contains a weathered set of textures as well as a clean looking set of textures and a re-skin kit.
The model has 9 textures, 7 of those are custom:
2048*2048 long hood skin
1024*1024 frame skin
1024*512 truck skin
2048*512 cab skin
512*512 diamond plate
512*512 diamond plate bump map
256*256 intake and radiator grill opacity map
2 standard max reflection maps
all textures are in JPEG format

The model uses only standard max materials, therefore V-ray is NOT required. The scene was rendered with V-ray GI, lighting, cameras not included.
The model also:
- Opens and renders without errors
- Is to real-world scale
- Is centered at origin
