Summary: This turret was natively modelled in Cinema 4D R16 and textured in Substance Painter. The project includes a total of 122 objects (23 parent objects, 7 scene objects, and 92 geometry objects). Geometry is very clean throughout (boole only used at ends of guns) and total polycount is below 24,000. Objects are logically grouped together and pivot points are set for easy animation (as depicted in one of the preview turntables). Lighting is a mix of global illumination (from HDRI applied to sky object) and 3 omni point lights. Renders were done with the STANDARD RENDERER with global illumination, ambient occlusion, and glow (for orange emissive).
Materials: There are 10 overall materials... 1 gradient grey background material for presentation 1 HDRI material to be applied to sky object for lighting/reflection 1 orange glow material (easy to change) for highlights 7 unique materials for various parts of the turret (many of these include color, normal, bump, and reflectance channels filled in).
Textures: There are five texture sets (for the turret body, guns, legs, stand, and ladder in back). Each has: a diffuse map (2048x2048 png) (color) a glossiness map (2048x2048 png) (roughness matte) a specular map (2048x2048 png) (specular layer mask) a height map (2048x2048 png) (bump detail) a normal map (2048x2048 png) (normal detail)
all these textures are already routed to the right C4D channels.
The HDRI that I used (HDRISKY.png 6000x3000) is also provided but can be exchanged with any other HDRI image.
Compatibility: Since this project was created with Cinema 4D R16 (no plugins) it will be compatible with all other versions of C4D that have a reflectance channel (otherwise manually map specular and glossiness channels).
A OBJ is also provided that has the raw geometry but none of the materials or textures.
Extra Notes: The shooting animation in the preview was created by animating the rotation of various objects in the turret; the orange glow material was also animated to turn red.
The project comes with lighting (HDRI sky), camera, and the turret; the animation ISN'T baked in (but is super easy to custom animate).
