This is a model of the central square of Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, in 1960s where Uzbekistan was a Soviet Republic. It presents the complex of governmental buildings (Council of Ministries and Parliament, National Library, Institute of Art studies, Ministry of Sport, etc.). Inspired by Oskar Niemeyer governmental complex in Brasilia, this project was a significant part of Soviet modernist experiences in Central Asia. Architects: V.Mexentzev, Y.Rozanov, V.Zaritzkiy, V.Yakushev, V.Shestopalov, Y.Khaldeev.
