A high quality polygon model of a bottlenose dolphin (Tursoips truncatus). It is textured with 4096 x 4096 textures for color and normal map. There is a choice between textures for a lightly scarred skin and textures for an untouched, blemish free skin. Furthermore there is a shader with very little specularity to be used under water, and a wet shader for when the dolphin is out of the water This is the layered shader with a reflective layer on top of the Skin shader. The shaders are made from Vray materials including the Skin shader for Sub Surface Scattering. The scene is set up in centimeters, and the dolphin has a total length of 260 centimeters. The dolphin is in a pose where the mouth is slightly open. However, included with the file is a polygon object that precisely marks the position of the jaw pivot. Using this position for the jaw will neatly close the mouth and make the teeth interlock without interpenetration.
