Based on the KMW drawing, this model is the finest and the most accurate Leopard2 A5/A6 3D model. It's extremely detailed, highly accurate and fully textured. All moving parts workable, including full detail suspension and running gears. The blueprint output of this 3D CAD model has been used in the book 'Leopard 2' by Frank Lobitz published by Tankograd (ISBN 978-3-936519-08-0).

The 120mm L44 main gun for Leopard 2A5 and L55 for 2A6 are both included.

Most of the exterior edges are rounded or chamfered. VRay materials and texture maps included for advanced photo-realistic rendering.

Texture resolutions:
The 3DS Max v8 and C4D r11.5 packages are with 1024 * 1024 diffuse maps. Other packages are with 2048 * 2048 texture maps.

Polygon count:

The polygon counts list here are the actual triangle face count at rendering stage.

Technical Info:

Shaders / materials and texture maps were created following sRGB gamma 2.2 linear work flow, for photo-realistic rendering.
Rendering this model with large texture maps requires up to 3.5Gb memory, there for 64bit systems are recommended. In order to render this model on 32bit systems, the texture maps must be re-sized by half or even further, and convert large meshes into proxy objects to cut down memory requirements.
For photo-realistic rendering, sRGB gamma 2.2 settings under 3DS Max > Customize > Preferences > Gamma and LUT section is required:

Please check to enable 'Enable Gamma/LUT Correction', and select 'Gamma 2.2' in the area titled 'Display', and then adopt settings from model file while loading.
