This antique car will look amazing in any scene! Modeled to be as accurate as possible, even the inside is reasonably detailed.
The entire model is made up of separate pieces, but is grouped, and the doors are grouped as well and can be opened or closed (the pivot is in the correct place for this). All nodes are reasonably named.
A polySmooth has been applied to almost all objects, but it is in the history and can be turned off and/or deleted. To make it easy to turn off and on with so many separate objects, a *custom attribute* has been added to the head group node, 'PolySmoothSwitch' and it will turn all of the divisions to zero, one or two.
Sample renders were done with the divisions at two. Poly count with two divisions is 439,202 faces; 443,980 verts.
There are three maya files for your convenience. One with just the model (MentalRay shaders), one with the model and the MentalRay lighting setup, and a third with Maya Shaders applied to the model in case you are not using MentalRay. Textures are included in a zip file.
The MentalRay lighting setup I used is included, it uses a MentalRay physicalSun and sky.
