This hi-resolution model can be rendered from any angle and contains a detailed cockpit. Great ship for your epic space battles. Weaponry can be made to swivel.
Some of the textures for this object are 4096 pixels x 4096 pixels (they have '4096' in their file name) so you can get really close in on the object. When you don't need to get close I would recommend using the 2048 x 2048 versions (they have '2048' in their file name). All you have to do is, once the object is loaded, replace the '4096' textures with the '2048' ones and maybe resave the object with a different name (so you don't have to do it again). This should save a lot of RAM and render time.
Also, this model has been painstakingly UV mapped. Every little part has been opened up so it can easily be texture mapped. All the textures are PSD files with layers still intact so you can easily change the colors if you wish. If you turn on the top most layer in each PSD file you can see the UV map as an overlay to help with your texturing.
I tried to keep the texturing procedure as straight forward as possible, so each surface name has a corresponding UV map and texture map associated with it.
