Three rigged garage doors - 16 foot, 12 foot, and 8 foot. A slider in each file opens & closes the door. Complete with chain, winding spring, and pullup wires. Three 'design constants' control the numerous mathematical expressions that govern the motion. By simply moving this point in space, the entire model can be easily customized. See 'garage_doors.docx', or 'garage_doors.doc' for Word 2003 if you're really interested in the details.

16 foot door: 133621 vertices, 263598 polygons
12 foot door: 131262 vertices, 259096 polygons
8 foot door: 128903 vertices, 254954 polygons

Designed for a ceiling height of 9 feet minus 5/8' drywall (9 feet from bottom of stud wall sill plate to bottom of truss or rafter). Higher ceilings require simply moving a few vertices of the track upwards; lower ceilings require some extra simple steps (see 'garage_doors.docx').

The archive also contains the maps for the studs & sheathing. All materials are Arch & Design, renderer is mental ray. Lighting setup is the MR sun & sky system. Entire rigged model is positioned and rotated via a single point helper, and a single viewport slider opens and closes the door.

**These files are designed for merging into other scenes with the units set to feet. You can of course start with one of the files, but typically you will merge the model into an existing scene. If the units of that scene are not in feet, the gizmo for the chain's path deform modifier will have to be moved accordingly.**
