Description
Pitbull model in brindle or Texas Rednose.
This model does NOT have a lot of detail for realistic close-up shots -- for example, it does not have fur, teeth or accurate eyes. But it is a smoothly modeled figure -- ideal for scenes, simulations, etc.

Background information:
The much-maligned Pit-bull is only vicious if raised with that intent. It is actually one of the best family dogs one can have because of its high pain threshold. Children receive serious injuries at a far higher rate from common 'family' dogs such as labs and retrievers but we only hear about the few worst cases, which are usually the result of abusive owners. Pit-bull is actually a derogatory name and not the correct name for any breed, but rather for dogs that are raised to fight in a pit. Unfortunately it is the dog'’s desirable qualities that can be turned to evil: it is extremely loyal to its owner to the point where it can easily be raised to fight, thinking it is doing so for the protection of its owner. By nature they have an aversion to biting people because handlers would selectively breed dogs that they could handle in a pit. Because of their devotion, protective nature and very high tolerance levels they used to be a favored choice for keeping around small children and were called 'Nanny dogs'. Unfortunately today many have fallen into the hands of low-life drug dealers, marijuana growers and dog fighters. Because of this and an uninformed press that seeks sensation, they have gained a bad reputation. Dog rescue agencies know the true gentle nature of these dogs and in places like San Francisco where they find many abandoned in poor black neighborhoods, they have initiated a move to rename them St. Francis Terriers.

To use the brindle texture you will need to get the free Symbiont procedural texture plugin from Darksim.
If you need details added or a biped figure rigged for this model (I have one that just needs a bit of tweaking), contact me. I also do contract work.
