AIRLINE is a flexible and robust waiting area system. All units can be swiftly and simply assembled, disassembled and rearranged (using a single screwdriver). AIRLINE is easy to clean and look after, fulfilling the requirements made of seating systems for public areas. The side table - supplementing the AIRLINE collection - features a fractureproof tabletop made of solid-core material. As the renowned architect of major international airports Norman Foster is also an expert in design of airport interiors. Together with Vitra, he has devised the AIRLINE waiting area system. The basic idea: an extruded aluminium beam which rests on die-cast aluminium feet. The seating elements, armrests and table tops can be simply assembled on this stable underlying frame. The advantages of AIRLINE: highly economical use of space and great flexibility. The system is sturdy and yet easy to clean, can be swiftly assembled and equally swiftly reconfigured.
