This is a fully working, rigged pin box art sculpture, made in 3ds Max and rendered in Vray.
The pins work based upon a displacement map, driven by a video, an image sequence or single image depth map. In order to use this, simply load your own grayscale depth map image or animation into the material slot and it's ready to go.
I have attached a video on the right, showing this model in action. The animation was created using simply a depth map.
The .fbx and .obj models are not able to be supplied rigged to the depth map, but I have provided them for import into other programs.
My own HDRI file is supplied, simply extract images.zip to the folder /images and the maps will all reference correctly.
