A self-propelled suburban railway diesel power plant.

Specifications:

Topology: quads only, fully subdividable.

Units: metric.

Bounding dimensions (approx.):

Length: 8.3 m;

Railroad carriages wheel pair width standard: RU/SU/Switzerland 750 mm (suburban).

Materials: all procedural PBR, based on Principled/Emission shaders, thus widely compatible with modern PBR renderers. All details such as bumps, letterings etc. are done via material Nodes mathematically. No texture files (raster images) used.

All objects of the model are properly parented to each other and grouped into single Collection.

Possible manipulations:

Four doors (all separately) opening/closing via DoorBLMount, DoorBRMount, DoorFLMount and Door FRMount. Local rotation constraints are set for convenience.

Universal joint under the platform (UniJoint object) rotation (rotation constraint is set).

Top roof blinker rotation (blinker_rotator object) - recommended (real) frequency is 2 Hz (2 rotations per second), however you of course can vary it however you like.

All lights are set at 4250 K color temperature (something in the middle of those used on a real roads as far as I know) - and by default are on. You can turn them off or change colors by manipulating corresponding emitters (all separately, for maximal flexibility).

UV maps unwrapped, being non-overlapping for every object except springs (those are assumed solid and are quite high-polygonal by themselves anyway).

HDRi environment map (Blue Grotto, public domain) packed in .blend for more realistic reflections, as well as put into supporting items separately.

All imagery is done via Cycles / Filmic, no post-processing.
