The building consists of 6 Main Modules:

1. LARGE DOME Includes:
-Highly detailed 36” Alvan Clark Telescope & Mount
Scope looks much as it did when first used in 1888

-Mount points North & both RA & Dec axis rotate

-Scope & Mount sit on brick & concrete pier

small dome door on the 2nd level

-All parts are fully functional with all working parts
-Dome above rotates and shutter doors open/close
-RA & Dec Axis on Mount work

3. CENTER

4. N. VESTIBULE

5. N. HALL

6. S. HALL

Within each of the 6 Modules are:
-Internal Walls
- Trim
- Doors (all open)
- Transoms (all open)
- Stairs
- Lights

A spiral staircase exists between outer & inner walls of Dome Base, and leads to a Catwalk that circles the interior of the 2nd level. Below is a basement with brick & concrete base where pier for mount sits. James Lick is buried in the base. (This not included in this model).

Still images show the observatory with the optional furniture package in place. The “Lick Furniture” package has all the objects shown in place and linked to the appropriate buildings.

Although the module has over 1.5 million polys (2.25+ million with furniture), the modular construction allows it to be rendered or worked on by section. EXAMPLE: When rendering the building interior, scopes need not be visible. When rendering the scopes, only the scope and dome objects need to be visible. The naming and linking make this easy.

ANIMATION:
750 frame animation of telescopes rotating on both RA & Dec axis, and domes rotating with shutter doors opening/closing
