This residential house of the baroque era was built at the end of the 18th century by the architect Georg Christian Unger. It was addressed to one of Berlins famous boulevards called Unter den Linden.
The symmetry with the middle entrance and the swallow dormers on the roof are typical elements of a baroque era. But this house is especially famous for the wine store of the brothers Habel that was situated in the ground floor. So the frieze above the windows in the ground floor represents the growing wine fruits. Johann Simon Habel one of the brothers was the cellarmaster of the King of Prussia the Old Fritz for 42 years. He established the wine store, which is still existing at another address in Berlin.
