Long Track is NATO designation for Soviet 1S12 surveillance radar designed in 1963 as first ever high-mobile radar for SA-4 SAM system. Appearance of the 1S12 was caused by developing then new tactical anti-aircraft forces of the Soviet Army. The radar was used along with number of mobile SAM systems, like SA-6 and SA-8, and still stay in service in more than 20 countries. Combined with PRV-class altimeter radar the 1S12 got designation P-40 'Bronya'. It has range of 370 km and deploying time 5 min.
