This is a high-quality, low-poly 3D model of a futuristic astronaut. The model subdivides very cleanly allowing you to smooth the polygons and add detail. The model has been tested and confirmed to work using 3DS Max Meshsmooth.
The model was created in a T-pose to allow for easy rigging. A rig is not included, but any standard humanoid rig should fit.
In the reflective preview images, the model is textured with a solid black Phong material set at 30% reflectivity. An HDR environment is included to be used as a reflection map. I rotated the HDR image 160 degrees in the Y axis. The renders do not need GI or Final Gather. I also provided Ambient Occlusion render previews for reference. This render setup can be achieved in any 3D software.
I provided an .FBX file which is compatible with any Autodesk product (3DS Max, Maya, etc.) as well as an .OBJ file which is compatible with nearly all 3D programs. These files include the model only, you will need to set the material and render parameters within your individual software.
Finally, I included the Autodesk Softimage 2012 version of the file which is complete with render setup.
The previews show the astronaut in a futuristic concept, but this model can be textured to look like a real astronaut as well. The model can even double as a hazmat suit or many other suits with proper texturing. Feel free to contact me with any questions, and thanks for looking!
