Extremely high detail textured model of the earth with day and night shader, cloud layer and realistic atmosphere.
With a total texture size of 86400x43200 pixels covering the entire surface you can get incredibly detailed shots of the earth surface. The model comes with a complete set of textures for PBR (Physically Based Rendering). Including diffuse/albedo, bump/heightmap, glossiness and self-illumination maps (for night).
The textures are based on data provided by NASA. The textures has been artistically enhanced and meticulously adjusted by the author for more realistic rendering. The model is set up with shaders for day and night cycle, and the night lights can easily be adjusted with several parameters in the attribute holder (see screenshots).
For performance and memory reasons, the textures are split in 8 UDIMs/multile textures. The total amount of textures requires a lot of ram and can take a while to load into memory before the first render. For low spec computers you can replace textures with lower resolution versions selectively based on for example the area you want to render, or switch out only the bump, gloss and some of the self-illumination maps to reduce memory usage.
Reduced resolution textures included are 8k tiles and 4k tiles. For full resolution use 21k tiles. Please note that the full 86k resolution texture pack had to be split into 4 zip-files for uploading reasons!
A separate shell material is used for better viewport display in 3dsmax.
