***2017 UPDATE*** The file now includes a PBR version of the Delorean with all new materials, textures and UVs in Maya. The materials were generated in Substance Painter. The model was also reduced quite a bit. The original Max file version of the car are still there so if you need it I didn't remove it. If you still want to use 3DMax with the latest version I have also included a FBX in the DeloreanPBR.zip. The first 5 images are of the new PBR Materials rendered in Marmoset.
***UPDATE*** This file was recently re-saved with 3DMax 2014. I fixed texture references to make the file easier to use. I left the 2010 version in there as well in case anyone still needs that one.
This is a high resolution Back to the Future Delorean. I made this model in Autodesk 3dsMax 2010 x64. As an avid fan of the movie my goal was to make an as accurate as possible reproduction of the original movie Delorean. This is how the car looked the first time it was seen in the Twin Pines Mall scene. I rendered the scene using Mental Ray Arch & Design (mi) materials with standard lights. I also recreated many of the interior textures with all letters and numbers available in the time circuit jpeg. The doors open separately with 2 sliders that also move the door pistons.
