The 25mm Kern Paillard Bolex cine lens is the industry standard primary lens that provides excellent corner to corner sharpness and is the iconic design for classic cine lenses for many years.
This standard focal length lens was first manufactured in the 1940s, but production continued until the late '50s, approximately. A standard focal length lens with a Visifocus depth of field scale; for non reflex 16mm cameras with a standard c-mount.
In 1950, Kern-Paillard introduced a new line of lenses with a unique depth of field scale, termed 'Visifocus'. The Visifocus system consisted of a curved scale, indicated by a series of orange colored dots that appeared or disappeared when the diaphragm scale was stopped up or down. The dots provided a visual reference of the depth of field for different focus settings at each f-stop.
This model features: -High resolution geometry. -No wasted geometry -Physical construction. -Physical Lens Construction. (*PHYSICALLY REAL ASPHERIC LENSES*) -Components are logically fit for corresponding motion. -Text is converted to Geometry to allow ease of use between file formats. -A conservative vertices count!
