Description
An accurately scaled and modeled low polygon T-6B Texan II aircraft. With a polygon count of just 2900 (5200 tris) this model has been professionally developed for simulation and game use. It is properly uv mapped and fully textured. The primary texture is a 2048 x 2048 bitmap and both United States Air Force and United States Navy textures are provided. All control surfaces, including flaps, ailerons, elevators, air brake, prop, rudder, and landing gear are independent objects for easy animation. There are two included prop versions, one static prop and one spinning opacity mapped prop.

This model is available here in .3ds, .fbx, .flt, .lwo (v 6.0), .max (v 2008), and .obj formats.

The T-6B is the basic pilot trainer for the USAF and the primary and intermediate Flight Officer trainer for the USN. It replaced the Air Force’s T-37B and the Navy’s T-34C aircraft. The design is based on the Pilatus PC-9 but has been heavily modified by Beechcraft to suit the United States’ needs. The T-6 was introduced into military service starting in 2000. The “B” model is the latest upgrade with a digital glass cockpit.
