This Pergola is styled after mid 18th century colonial architecture. This model provides increased realism for period correct work, while still being acceptable in a modern setting.
The goal was to provide a comfortable outdoor gathering space, which could also be used as a blank slate to grow grape vines and climbing roses for decoration and shade.
The elements are designed of common commercially available products, including trims, columns, and furniture.
The brick on the columns is textured to match the real world counterpart of this project, while the columns use a simple paint. The brick for the ground is a generic autodesk material used for placement.
This project can be rendered in both Mental Ray and Iray. Images show utilize Iray.
