Description
This is a concept 3D model of Asian man character named Jin (No Rigging, Various formats). This version doesn't include rigging and facial animation. Rigged version is available under the following product ID: 655883.

Originally created with Autodesk 3ds Max 2010. The model is suitable for use in broadcast, high-res film close-ups, advertising, etc.


....::: GENERAL INFORMATION :::....

This product includes two 3ds Max versions:

       A. With MentalRay renderer setups (SSS-materials, Displacement maps, MR lighting)
       B. With Scanline standard renderer setups (Standard materials, no Displacement maps, basic lighting)

The character has one haircut created with Hair&Fur in both 3ds max versions. Hair&Fur plug-in required. Other formats use geometrically modeled haircut, alpha maps used. All objects come unhidden by default for all file formats.

3DS, OBJ, C4D, LWO, SCN and MB formats have Standard materials assigned. All textures are included and assigned. Materials may require some modifications in order to get a realistic result in different software.

Model is built to real-world scale. Units used: Centimeters. Jin is 172 cm tall.

....::: TEXTURES :::....

Total number of textures is 24. SSS-material for skin in 3ds Max 2010 MentalRay version uses 6 high-res textures (resolution up to 8192x8192px). Other textures resolutions vary between 700x700 to 4096x4096. Most textures come in .JPG, some are in .TIF format (mostly used for displacement maps). Total size of all textures is 382 MB.

.MAX format:
   - No Subdivision: 33,362 faces and 33,763 vertices
   - Subdivision iteration 1: 178,476 faces and 122,775 vertices

.OBJ, .C4D, .LWO*, .SCN, .MB* formats (include two files for each format):
   - LOW: 35,738 faces and 39,614 vertices
   - HIGH: 147,485 faces and 141,205 vertices

* Maya and LightWave files consist of quads and tris only.

.3DS format (includes two files):
   - LOW: 70,564 faces and 42,707 vertices

A general render covering the whole body at 1600x1200px resolution on Intel Core i7 930 (3.8Ghz, 4 cores/8 threads) in 3DS Max 2010 takes:

       A. With MentalRay setups (SSS-materials, displacement, Hair&Fur, 5 lights) - 3 min 55 sec
       B. With Scanline Render setup (standard materials, no displacement, Hair&Fur, 2 basic lights) - 1 min 50 sec
