Description
The Messerschmitt Bf 109, often called Me 109, was a German WWII fighter aircraft designed during the early to mid-1930s. It was one of the first truly modern fighters of the era, including such features as all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, a retractable landing gear, and was powered by a liquid-cooled, inverted-V12 aero engine. Through constant development, the Bf 109 remained competitive with the latest Allied fighter aircraft until the end of the war.
The final production version of the Bf 109 was the K series, or 'Kurfürst', introduced in the autumn of 1944, though externally similar to the late production Bf 109G series, a large number of internal changes and aerodynamic improvements were incorporated that improved its effectiveness and remedied existing flaws.

After 1944 Luftwaffe switched tactics, from offensive to defensive and Bf-109s were diverted to engage fighter escorts. The Defence of the Reich Gruppen sported a bright colored band on the fuselage and the nose.

Modelled in 1:1 real world scale, all parts are conveniently named and separated, textures and specular maps are 2048x2048 pixels and it has the following key-frame animations already in place:

Landing gear
Radiator vents
Canopy
