Thanks for viewing my Chevy Camaro ZL1! What it is: A 580 BHP version of GM's warhorse. The model has been finely detailed from the inside out and the parts of the interior and exterior were measured from an actual Camaro vehicle, my own Camaro SS. All parts featured on the car depict the final production version, not a concept or mock-up.
Native format is Maya 2008 and renderer was Mental Ray. Uses standard Maya materials and Mental Ray MIA shaders. No special plugins needed. Model has seven separate shaders for each of the factory colors of the car. Simply right click in the hypershade on the existing color and click on 'select objects with material' and then go to the one you like and click 'assign material to selection'.
Smoothing: all painted surfaces of the car have edge loops to allow for smoothing. There is a layer created on the Maya version called 'smoothable'. Just select objects and apply smoothing. LOD:0 = 177098 faces LOD:1= 239728 faces LOD:2= 490015 faces 98% of geometry is quads.
Textures: there are 7 different textures as as well as accompanying BMP files for bump, specular, and opacity. Largest texture maps are 8192 x 8192 (2 jpeg files). Psd files are also available and all layers have been named.
