The SR-25 is renowned for exceptional accuracy, partly due to its heavy, free floated barrel. The handgrips are attached to the front of the receiver and do not touch the barrel. They are fitted with MIL-STD-1913 rails for the attachment of handgrips and other components.
The SR-25 was adopted by the US Navy SEALs as the Mk 11 Mod 0 Sniper Weapon System. This specification included the SR-25 rifle, as well as a Harris folding bipod, Leupold scope and lightweight sound suppressor.
The SR-25 is chambered for 7.62mm NATO and has a 20 round removable box magazine.
