This is a rigged model of one of our dogs. The dog is half pug, half chihuahua, but looks more puggish. The model is rigged and an animated walk cycle is included (along with the light setup I used to render). A default polySmooth has been added to the walk cycle version. It could be turned off and/or deleted.
Two texture maps are used (2048x2048), one for the eyes and one for the body. The model is UVd, so if you have a later version of Maya, it would be easy to add fur.
The rig is easy to use, channels that are not used have been locked for animator convenience. The legs have both IK and FK with a switch. The face is rigged as well and there are controls for the eyes, mouth and tongue. Model could be exported with skinned joints to .fbx format for use in a game engine.
