The Maya 2012 formats are set with the '3' hotkey for the geometry approximation preview and render. Obj version is directly exported from Maya with textures assigned (.mtl file) FBX versions is directly exported from Maya with texture assigned

background plane: 128 morphs layer (3 morph targets): 110706 ---------------- SHAVE AND A HAIRCUT NOTE: You would need Shave and A Haircut for Maya 2012 (*/**) in order to render the subtle/tiny hair, otherwise you would be able to render only the main mesh. For an even better render quality you can increase the hair primitives count up to your machine memory limit. The actual rendering time is about 5 minute for an HD rendering 1200x1200 frame (rendered on a system based on a single Pentium Quadcore with 16GB RAM) --4 different hair systems. The .fbx and .obj formats don't include the Shave and Haircut Fur.
