This is a high-polygon, fully-textured, rigged Maya model of a cicada. There is a basic bone structure (primarily in the legs) to which the geometry is PARENTED, but not bound. Joint 1 moves the entire model. Also, there are bend deformers on the wings for realistic & dynamic curvature during animation. The model is detailed enough for most close-up shots. I have included a basic lighting & camera setup for demonstration purposes.
