REAL TERRAINS are accurately scaled 3D models of real places.
This is a model of the Western half of the Grand Canyon, in Arizona state, US. The model represents 560 square miles of terrain, with the Grand Canyon at it's center. Elevation data extracted from 10m DEM files. Details about the lat/long coordinates for this model are included in the accompanying product files.
All previews have been rendered with Vray. With purchase you receive two 3DS Max files (Vray and default Scanline) as well as an OBJ mesh and all texture maps.
Terrain modeling is acheived through a displacement modifier. I have left the modifier stack open so that you can adjust the resolution of the rendered mesh as needed.
Textures included are all 4000x6000 pixels: -displacement (3696x4584) -diffuse (8000x10,000) -bump (8000x10,000) -reflection mask (8000x10,000)
