Software Engineer, Programmer, Web Developer

TurboSquid is the world’s leading seller of 3D Models and is expanding the company’s development team. We are looking for senior engineers who are versatile, experienced, and interested in working in a small company atmosphere with a collaborative style.

With over two million members, TurboSquid acts as an online broker for thousands of artists who publish their digital work (over 250,000 individual products) for sale on our site. We are located in the Central Business District of New Orleans in a vibrant walkable section of town close to restaurants, coffee shops and bars. TurboSquid is continuing to grow, and our industry is gaining unprecedented attention with the widespread popularity of 3D entertainment. Our customers include Pixar, Electronic Arts, Apple, Microsoft and thousands of others you wouldn’t realize need 3D all the time.

Job Description

You’ll enjoy the freedom to innovate and have your work seen by millions of people. To get things done, we use an agile development methodology with personal discipline and focus on quality.

The server side application is written using PHP and Adobe ColdFusion, with plenty of Javascript and AJAX on the client side. We run SQL Server 2008, IIS, JRun, and other LAMP servers thrown in for good measure. We are looking for engineers with strong ColdFusion and PHP skills, additional exposure to J2EE servlets and JSPs would be a plus.

Attention to UI/UX detail and precision with CSS is critical. Ability to design and understand database schema diagrams and write SQL code is a must.

To get hired, you’ll need professional experience and solid references. We protect our culture and team and will only consider people who will prosper in this environment. We strongly prefer developers to work in our New Orleans office, but will consider telecommuting for candidates with vast experience in our desired domains of expertise.
