Turbo Squid is fully functional after weathering Hurricane Katrina
(Houston, TX – September 15, 2005) - Turbo Squid, home of the world’s largest collection of royalty-free 3D assets, has weathered Hurricane Katrina, set-up a temporary satellite office in Houston, TX, and remains fully functional.

All members of the Turbo Squid team are safe and the company remains fully operational in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Although Turbo Squid’s email system suffered a temporary outage during the first few days after the storm, the web site and customer support system remained completely intact. The email system is back to 100% as of Friday September 2nd. Since Turbo Squid’s home office in New Orleans is currently inaccessible, the company has set-up a temporary satellite office in an effort to provide to the 3D community the same service levels to which it has become accustomed. The members of the Turbo Squid team have relocated to different parts of the United States and are currently running the company largely as a virtual operation with a temporary home-base in Houston. “Although we experienced some minor interruptions in our email system during the first days after the Hurricane, we do not expect any further complications for our user base. The company has fully re-grouped, all systems are operational, and we have set-up an office as well as new phone numbers for all departments.
